dil udaas ho toh voh yaad aata hai
khushi ki mithaas ho toh voh yaad aata hai

yun toh safar mae musaafir milte hain bahut
jab humsafar ki baat ho toh voh yaad aata hai

ik hawaa chalti hai aur pardaa udh jaata hai
phir khushboo aati hai toh voh yaad aata hai

tooti khidhki ka sheesha, puraane paed pe nishan
guzarta hoon uss gali se toh voh yaad aata hai

mulaqaaton mae yun toh beet jaata hai aam din
jab saath chahiye ho toh voh yaad aata hai

“ishq” ke dil-o-dimaag ab issi mua'yyid mae rehte hain
shaayad tujh-se hi kisi shaqs ko dost kehtae hain
